Gas prices going up and up.   Utilities bills increasing at levels above inflation.   What can the Republican party do to help the United States become less reliant on foreign oil, while helping to conserve energy?

The recall legislation was defeated in the Illinois senate today.   There were not enough votes to reach the 60% needed to pass the legislation.   Senator Bill Haine voted no.  Senator Frank Watson voted yes.   What do you think about the legislation and the vote?

This was the real thing.  Not the movie on tv.  It appears physical damage was minor.  Damage to ones mental well being???   How prepared do you feel government is to responding to disasters, whether man made or natural?

An article in the Edwardsville paper reports on a resolution debated at a Madison County committee meeting concerning the 2cd amendment.   The resolution was not passed out of committee.  Nonbinding resoutions have been debated and passed by the County board in the past.   What do you think about this issue?
